Quincy Ingersoll – Missionary

Our Mission

Hey guys! My name is Quincy Ingersoll and I’ve lived in Ankeny, Iowa my entire life! I live with my amazing family: my lovely mom and dad and three younger brothers. We have three pets total, two cats and one dog. I am currently a senior at Ankeny Centennial High School, while also taking some college credit classes offered at the high school by the local community college. Outside of school, my weeks usually consist of two things: my church and dance classes. I would say I am very involved in my church, the Ridge, and spend most Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings volunteering. On Sunday mornings, I am partnered up with a little boy with who is the cutest and most adorable little dude I’ve ever met! I love spending my Sunday mornings with him in the Children’s Ministry. On Wednesdays, I also volunteer by leading a group of 6th-8th graders in youth group, while participating in my own high school youth group later that night. As far as dance goes, I have been dancing at a local dance studio, Nicole’s School of Dance, since I was 3 years old and I’ve loved it more and more every year! I usually take classes Sunday-Thursdays in the evenings, with the occasional Saturday. Since I am also on the Competition Team, I compete in dance competitions in the Spring season which I love! The studio dancers and families have become my second family and I wouldn’t want it any other way:) As for a job, I work as a teacher at my dance studio, teaching and assisting in classes with younger dancers. I love this because I get to share my love for dance with people younger than me by helping them improve their skills in the art and craft I have such a passion for. When it comes to mission trips, I’ve only ever been on two! A couple summers ago, I traveled with a small group of people from my youth group to California to spend a week spreading God’s love and serving others through a local church’s VBS. However, my first time out of the country was this past summer on my second mission trip ever to Uganda where I spent 10 days serving and spreading God’s love. I loved every second of both of these mission trips and I couldn’t be more excited to see what God does for me and others during the next chapter of my life after graduating high school in the spring: the World Race Gap Year! Thank you so much for reading about me and don’t hesitate to reach out and contact me with any questions or comments! My phone number is (515) 681-4145 and my email is quincy.ingersoll24@gmail.com. Love you guys! Quincy Ingersoll

Our Story

behind the scenes at Gaingive

We Believe

At Gaingive, we believe in introducing people to a lifestyle of giving in a more natural, less invasive way; where people don’t feel forced or pressured to give, but rather give in a way that doesn’t cost them anything.

We believe that once hearts are open and actively giving through ordinary day to day activities like shopping, the joy and habit of giving spreads to other areas of life. Not only do we believe it, but we are blessed to see it happen every day, and we’re obsessively passionate about it!

Mission

Our mission is not only to help people achieve the joy and fulfillment that giving brings to our lives, but also to bless those on the receiving end more abundantly!

We’re excited to simplify giving and fundraising for everyone through our website, app, and community.

Our Beginning

We stop at nothing

What happens when you bring together 54 people that love Jesus and send them to every corner of the Globe for a year? Big dreams and a whole lot of malaria!

We Love To Serve

In 2017, this team of believers took a leap of faith, in obedience to the calling they had received, and gave away all they had to serve others in the name of Jesus in the poorest parts of the world.

We Lead With Faith

3 months into their journey, West Africa hit the team hard with malaria (a parasitic infection carried by mosquitos).

Josh Pareja, the founder of Gaingive, was affected the worst, contracting the parasite a total of 4 times.

We Keep It Simple

Love God and love people.

God doesn’t call us to be fancy, He calls us to be obedient!

God speaks in funny ways! It only took until I was on my death bed for the 4th time for Him to put the Idea of Gaingive on my heart. We had been traveling around to some pretty poverty stricken areas, seeing churches and ministries struggle to keep the doors open because of the lack of financial support. And yeah, I just felt it in my heart that, since it all belongs to God anyways, we might as well get creative about how people support ministries. In the coming months was really when it was revealed to us just how powerful this could be, not only for financial support to those who could really use it, but more importantly to introduce a giving lifestyle to a lot of people. “

“We were pretty extreme back then; we gave away everything we had, and it was awesome and brought us so much joy! We get that not everyone is called to live a life like that, but man what if we could get them hooked on giving in a way that doesn’t cost them a thing?!”
