If ever there was a time in my life, it was now. I am to graduate from University of Portland with a degree in Marketing and Fine Arts in December 2019 and to leave a month later for the world, as in to 11 countries for a year.
Before my life in Colorado consisted of family, adventure, fear to grow up, and longing for more. Now my life consists of service to others, still adventure, excitement for what is next, and longing for God’s Kingdom of love and peace to break in.
The days of college have been more filled and full than ever with community, involvement, and experiences. I have grown a lot whether it be volunteering with those on the streets, mentoring my peers, going on that entrepreneurship club trip to San Fransisco, or that leadership conference in Los Angeles, or that mission trip to Nicaragua.
My whole life I’ve always been someone reflecting on it all, loving discovery. And I am discovering more than ever whether it be my passion for creating and doing good work or my identity in Christ and how it gives my joy and purpose in every milestone and tribulation.
Over the past year, I have been convinced the next step of discovery for me is going on the World Race. Through the fear and out of a place of surrender to my God who has blessed me with much, I am going to risk it.
Leave all my comforts in pursuit of helping those most in need in the world, all the while gaining vision for where God sees my future and how I must make it count.
Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, South Asia, South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and Zambia here we come!
